Ideally Twitter would shut down entirely so that people would be forced to move to platforms not owned by the Muskrat. This is the only way I can see Twitter actually losing its dominance at this point.

I wonder if a recent clampdown on anonymous (no account) browsing and numerous recent reports of "confirm you're a human" to those using Linux, Firefox and other privacy preserving tech which requires mandatory ~~doxing~~ ID verification is related to this clampdown on privacy by X?
Might be related to X requiring everyone to be human and ID verified to view X which has spurred this cease and desist. And what is worse, many companies do their customer service contacts and service updates exclusively via X so if anonymous people are locked out of viewing, they're effectively stuffed in the event of an incident.
Hopefully privacy and tech channels online will pick up on this story (I'd advise everyone to contact them) and make it go viral.

@swyxio [thing].miningtcup.me. I use my own residential IP address, I don't believe that X has much IP rate-limiting. (I may get rate-limited after posting this here, beware.)
Something which hasn't been mentioned here: XCancel (and other public instances) also received a cease and desist, but I don't believe XCancel is in the U.S., so it might be more resilient.
