Pause matches you with one other Londoner for a coffee, a skill swap, or a quiet cowork session. A real table, a real conversation, somewhere near you. We pick who and suggest where — you just turn up.

The idea
Nothing happens on your phone.
There's no feed to scroll, no chat to keep alive, no profiles to swipe through. Pause exists to get you sitting across a table from someone. It does the arranging, then gets out of the way.

Forty-five minutes with one person, near where you already are. We suggest the café and the time.

You teach something you know. They teach something you don't. Both of you say what that is when you sign up.

Two hours of heads-down work at the same table. Say hello, get on with it, talk at the end.
Accountability
If you're building or job-hunting solo, meet the same kind of person weekly and say what you'll do next.
How it works
1. 01 Sign up and tell us your industry, where you are in London, what you're after, and when you're free.
2. 02 Every Monday you get up to three suggested people, each with a line on why we matched you.
3. 03 When you're both interested, we confirm the meet and suggest a time and place.
4. 04 You each pay £5 to lock it in. Then you show up.
Who it's for
Recent grads. People who just left a job or were made redundant. Career changers, people on sabbatical, people new to London, people between contracts. Anyone who wants to widen their circle beyond the people they already work with.
Pricing
£5 per match. You only pay once a match is confirmed — signing up and seeing your weekly options is free.

About
Pause is built and run by me, Tanay Saboo, in London.
I started it while I was between jobs. I had more free time than I'd had in years, a city full of interesting people, and I still went weeks without meeting anyone new. Everyone I saw regularly was someone I'd already met through work or university, and arranging anything with someone I didn't know took more effort than I ever got round to.
I review every person who joins and I run the matching myself. If something's broken, or you think it could work better, email me.
