**Welcome to the June 2026 edition of Kaney’s Weird Files.**
**Thank you to all of you that follow, interact, and find value in this newsletter. If you look forward to it each month, I want you to know how much that means to me. I’ll plan to keep building something special and unique in this space that adds to your life rather than detracts. I know we all get tons of emails, and we skip most, so if you click, open, and read - thanks very much.**
**Your world is undoubtedly a busy place right now. I’m sure personal life is, too. Hopefully, I can help focus what seems to be important in this realm of ‘weird’ for you. That said, I am, admittedly, finding it harder and harder to choose what to include with what seems like less and less time. That is a good and a bad problem to have at this stage.**
**Suffice to say I am getting better and pushing harder and harder to get to the bottom of what appears to be a mass, shared memory. We also have a lot of noise on the topic of UFOs to look at, a major filmmaker releasing a cultural milestone, and what seems like a hot-topic of debate within the ranks of the phenomenon.**

Where to start? Well, if I were a normal person, with no insider knowledge of the content, wasn’t an experiencer myself, and had no familiarity with the ‘Phenomenon’, I would be left wanting and utterly confused.
If I had to give it stars, as a total package, I would be generous and offer it 3 out of 5 or 6 out of 10.
There are many subtle references to UFO lore and accounts from contactees and experiencers which provide a strange, albeit satisfying, background tapestry for everyone in general. I am sure it is utterly ‘weird’ to see some of our more unusual experience aspects shown on a big screen as part of a mega-budget film. Good progress, and, oddly disconcerting. If you are an experiencer, you know what I am referencing.
All of this exposition is to say that one cannot simply gauge the merit of this film through a single lens. At the same time, we all must understand this was JUST a movie. There is theology, ufology, sociology, and filmography afoot. As I am but a lowly experiencer, I will endeavor to remain on those tracks.
I got the feeling some experiencers went into ‘Disclosure Day’ - before seeing the movie - hoping for a 100% genuine love letter. Several ufologists were seeking real, ultimate ‘disclosure’ - with a capital ‘D’. Who wouldn’t with a title like that? And others who may have just wanted to see a good Spielberg movie likely expected a globe-trotting, cinematic, action-packed masterpiece. Think Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones films.
I’m not sure any of those films surfaced, but it was not at all a waste of time.
Is it a masterpiece? Not in the sense people may want. It is a decent movie, easy to follow (to a certain extent), a couple action scenes, and ok characters. Special effects are there, but not stunning. There are even some funny bits. My wife is a BIG fan of Emily Blunt, so she was excited. I was really curious how it would play out. I would say it looks more like a hurried streaming movie trying to capitalize on the current geopolitical zeitgeist. Yet, there is something more there. Something…
There were a couple scenes that made me react very emotionally. Not because the MOVIE was that good, but because it was something that I have experienced - lived through, much like many others in the camp of experiencers have. Most of that comes when the two main characters go through memory recall and one is emotional and warns the other not to follow the beings into the woods. I need to pause here. My wife asked me, who does know of my experiences but is not an experiencer herself, why such a seemingly benign event can be so upsetting and scary to experiencers - it’s when the female character remembers forest animals leading her to the house in the woods. Yes, she recalls being led to a large, glowing house she refers to as the Hansel and Gretel House.
Another person (ahem, last name ‘Strieber’) writes at length on this topic and I will refrain from doing the same. You can see it here in this article, which, as it stands, is a fascinating approach. It is a good frame of reference for many.
Prior to that scene the same character is upset and distraught saying she doesn’t want to go back to that memory. I had an instant, visceral reaction to that emotion which was so well portrayed. For a long time, that was something I lived through night after night. I was both there watching the movie and at the same time myself in the past. It was like a PTSD trigger, flashback, and something else all at once. Then, we get to the next part. Seeing her as the little girl alone in her room at night trying to self-soothe and such by singing is a seemingly benign movie moment for general audiences but those of us with similar memories feel her dread and the physical terror of being alone, knowing no one is coming to help, and that there is something or someone uninvited there. But then, she investigates with curiosity. Not showing fear (if she even felt it at all), and her bravery is seemingly rewarded. It is at this point that her male counterpart pleads with her not to follow the beings, obviously filled with terror and dread, not wanting her to experience what he did as a kid.
We follow the pair of characters as they discover they are special, marked for greatness. It seems they were chosen as young people to be ‘enhanced’ - transformed - to help guide the human race into a new age: open contact and disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrial beings. They both realize their higher purpose as part of the film’s narrative - a sort of pair of ‘integrators’ for the human race at large.
They were not hurt, but they were subjected to life-altering and reality-shattering events all by themselves. All of which can have a lasting impact on children. While we can see that, they recover these memories and rebound from the recall with an awakening cemented in knowing their true mission once and for all. The end of the film ties that into the releasing of government secrets relating to hiding and covering up the ultimate truth: we are not alone, we have never been alone.
One final word in the ending before credits may set up general audiences for mass frustration and confusion. However, I feel we, as experiencers, have had plenty of time to sit and be with that concept. It is something often done in exposure therapy for depression and anxiety. Sitting with uncertainty, discomfort, and the unknown. That word? It is a good one in general for all of us.
“Listen”.
As with any piece of art - painting, film, literature, etc. - I am of the mind that viewers should take their own interpretation and meaning from the work as their own baggage and story often colors that for them. However, I think we can agree on a simple meaning behind this film. It centers largely on the idea of unity and also how we must really stop, slow down, and understand the emotional status of those around us. The start of the film mentions tensions high between Russia and Ukraine and the brink of Wold War 3. Then, we get the final scene, and we are to believe this new discovery would - and should - unite us.
There is much going on in this film, to say the least. Did it give us “Disclosure”? Not in the sense we may have wanted. It has a nuts and bolts, surface level attempt at it in those end scenes. However, I do think ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ did that better. It was on a grander scale. It was more cinematic. And it ultimately _showed_ the government knew without so much _telling_ in a more nuanced, intelligent way. Think back on the scene where missing persons and such are coming forward from the craft and there are officials marking them off and tracking them. Very creative.
Better than just naming obvious lore that lots of people know about and pointing the finger at the government. Disclosure Day’s ending just felt like a lot too late in the last stretch. That said, I was happy to see theKecksburg incident included. That’s not as well known of an incident as, say, Roswell. So, Bravo to them for that.
I do think it was meaningful to experiencers in that it is a film that finally got some of the aspects very true to form. We really see how the pair are transformed through the integration of their experiences to become a ‘grown’ or fully capable version of who they really are.
I recommend reading another article over at Meredith Spearman’s Substack to get deeper into this aspect of things. Check it outhere. I think we are fairly aligned in our thoughts.
While the film states ‘it was only ever just the two of you’; we are countless out there. For all the ones who come forward, the ones that write and publish memoirs, the ones that appear on podcasts, there are literal hundreds, if not thousands, more who keep their stories secret or buried in their subconscious. It was never just two people. In fact, it may come to be that it was only ever _all of us_.
If you are in ‘it’, as in the deep end of the ‘Phenomenon’, you likely got excited or at least recognized the copious amounts of the lore that goes along with it. That tells me Spielberg and crew know a lot about the subject.
There are some parts I take issue with, but, seeing as they are nitpicky and don’t detract from the overall, I will refrain from rambling more.
I will say that the fact I know the other movies this guy has made, it did feel a bit underwhelming at times. But only as far as movie-making goes.
If nothing else, it will cause a lot of people to think long and hard about things they never had to before. I don’t think this was a movie made for experiencers. I don’t even think it was meant as a movie to give us that truth we all were wondering about it giving us.
In the end, I will say I didn’t hate it, thought it had some good parts, and then it gave an admirable message.
Remember, it was just a MOVIE.
(I was thrilled to see the NES hooked up to the Zenith TV, though! That was my highlight, if I’m being honest)
Avi Loeb announced on June 13th on his Medium blog that he has been named Chair of the new UAP Panel, a scientific, civilian-led coalition of ‘A-Team’ professional that span many different disciplines in science, math, data management, physics, etc.

In it, Loeb states that releasing of UFO (I remain steadfast in retaining the original, overtly offensive-to-modern-niceties term), is a ‘blessing’ in that it helps with pinpointing National Security gaps. The group that created it includes the White House, AARO, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the FBI, and all Intelligence Community members.
In his statement, he lists all the members of the council, then goes on to rejoice in the assumed cooperation of the U.S. Government and their openness with the scientific community. Counter, according to Loeb, to the nefarious plot of the Spielberg film. (Except that it wasn’t the government smashing people’s cars into trains, it was the private corporation).
Loeb wraps up his statement in a very optimistic, yet seemingly naive way remarking that it will be the biggest discovery of humanity IF they (he and his smart friends) discover the UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin.
All I have to say is, we shall see what they accomplish. Also, has he read a single, genuine experiencer account? It doesn’t sound that way. I think if they all read as much as I have, they would have their answer. But, that would put him out of a job.
It remains to be seen what these tranche releases can be used for. Loeb states the goal is to have higher quality scientific data to study. Well, from what I can see, the items released give very little of that. This is coming from someone who trained, got certified, and did field investigations for MUFON.
I just question the motives. Loeb seems trusting of the Government. I am not alone thinking this is a ruse.
All in all, I respect Loeb in other ways. So, again, we shall see.
They also have a Disclosure.org site you can follow here. Notice it is a big ‘foundation’ of really smart people, which is good, yet not a single one of us is present.
It is my sincere hope they do not become just another gatekeeping arm of the intelligence community. But, we must consider what happens if they discover a universal truth later deemed to be a National Security threat. Do we really believe that truth will be publicized, or will it be classified?
Yep, more Disclosure. Ugh. Here we go…
In an effort to continue the public display of ‘openness’ and discourse on the topic, there was a massive forum, or open meeting, among scholars, lawmakers, and journalists June 25th, 2026.

If you scroll down, you can see the list of attendees and speakers. Yet again, not a single tenured, veteran, REPUTABLE ufologist, historian, or investigative journalist covering this material for decades, or even an experiencer was present. I immediately twitched when I saw Hal Puthoff’s name included. He is listed OFTEN in my research into Project Stargate. He was in the trenches in observing and helping perform evaluations of remote viewers way back in the 1970s.Here is a declassified document noting him in it. And here isanother document that is a security review of a book about the government’s research into remote viewing which mentions and states Hal’s involvement pretty clearly.
In my view, it looks like a lot of the same old hat just repackaged to appease…who? Well, maybe the younger members of Congress who don’t play ball and are more vocal? I wonder if they are aware of this history? What purpose would he play in helping push disclosure forward if he was previously paid to carry out the government’s secret research and to keep it hush-hush?
Call me jaded, but I just smell something fishy here.
NOTE: If, as I interpreted from a quote on the speakers of this forum, the purpose of the group is to determine IF and WHAT aspects of the knowledge of extraterrestrial life should or could be disclosed to the public, then I am in the camp of 100% against it. I will gladly stand up against that. They can call me villain. We cannot have the denying of a universal truth to people deemed less competent and capable of dealing with it by the ruling elite.
Experiencers already live and breathe the truth, whether we wanted to or not. An auxiliary arm of the intelligence groups of the US cannot be allowed to determine our own truth and whether it can only exist within the confines of National Security considerations.
I hear the sighs…
Still nothing from CIA on the items they stated they would respond to via separate correspondence. I feel like they are blowing way past their response window. That said, I did reply with a new FOIA to unveil or reveal all the documents, emails, messages, etc. created in response to the one that indicated there were no records responsive to my request. Still waiting on their response for that one. The idea here is to gain an understanding of their methods so that future FOIAs can be more effective in my wordings.
Moving on for now…
It took what seemed like forever, but, eventually, I received a package in the mail from the CIA. Always an eerie moment to have, even though I knew what it was. Inside was the CD/DVD filled with all the files of the Stargate reading room which I was suggested as my next course of research. In excited anticipation, I was fumbling trying to get the disc in my USB disc drive and click Open. The disc loaded, no issues. There were the files. Many folders with hundreds of files. I clicked the first one. One page. Just an image file. I clicked another. Same thing. A third. Same. Not even in order of what would come next in multipage documents. I looked at every other folder. All the same. I couldn’t use that if I was paid to. I gave up with that and went back to reading more files on the CREST for Stargate. Shortly after that let-down, I did write a lovely letter back to the CIA thanking them for the disc, but asking for instructions on how to use it. I know there is nothing I likely did wrong, but I wanted to make sure. No response as yet.
Moving from that to CREST…
Robert Monroe. The Monroe Institute. Hemi-Sync. Stanford Research Institute. Hal Puthoff. And so many more keywords. These are words and named that you should know and can search yourself on theProject Stargate CREST. You’ll be inundated with mountains of files relating to them and the government’s research into remote viewing and parapsychology as a means to put distance between us and our adversaries in the realms of national defense, intelligence gathering, and even crime-solving.
There are loads of information I can send to you. But I encourage you to do it yourself. I got enough out of the CREST to know that Monroe was contacted and secretly contracted to help use his GATEWAY experience, Hemi-Sync technology, and Excursion Retreats as a way to train parapsychology ‘warriors’.
Here is adocument you can quickly digest talking about the interest in his works by the 902nd Military Intelligence group in 1978. To be clear, it references Hal’s Stanford Research Institute as a competitor of sorts. Where Hal’s produced remote viewers, Monroe’s was differentiated as using out-of-body experiences to gather data. This program would be called ‘Gondola Wish’ and was in response to the 902nd’s awareness of the Soviet’s efforts into their own parapsychology research as a means of collecting intelligence or, more to the point, spying on the US. The 902nd seriously investigated the ‘threat’ and found it to be very grave and thus demanded action to research and implement countermeasures.
If you are not familiar, Monroe was an old school disc-jockey who had an out-of-body experience and later patented audio technology that created a third wave of sound between two pieces of a headset. Think binaural beats. I am being gravely reductive and summarizing here to save time. Tape recordings would help guide listeners into deeper stages of relaxation, meditation, and trance-like states. Those tapes were known as the GATEWAY Experience tapes. He would also found the Monroe Institute that focused on the practice of these protocols and ways to expand one’s own consciousness. For a price, of course.
Later, the devices used to implement these states of being would be spun-off into a group known as Hemi-Sync, which is what they referred to the technology as. They sold the gear.
This is where it starts to get more interesting…
I looked up the Monroe Institute. They have a website.
I reached out to them via their general message email address. I asked specific questions regarding their involvement in assessment and testing of children in the Baraboo School District in the 1990s (where I went to school), whether they were involved in GATE programs, and if any Baraboo School District staff were customers.
I was pleasantly surprised to get a rather quick, helpful, if a bit corporate, response. Their response was that essentially they never would have been directly involved in assessments of children in school districts. Further, the person responded indicating that products were available individually on a commercial basis and teachers, administrators, etc. may have purchased them themselves for their programs.

I then replied, thanking them for their help, as I was convinced the respondent was genuine and believed all of what they were writing. Upon reading this article linked above, they responded with what I thought was a bombshell. The folks he knew at the Institute were not aware of it and that it was ‘new to them’. It clearly shows that Monroe Institute held a conference pitching their research and products to educators.
At the same time, I was encouraged to reach out to the Interstate Hemi-Sync company to ask for their records as it was pointed out to me that it was run by a different member of the Monroe family. I was surprised by them as well giving me a response that wasn’t a complete stonewall, but, also, seemingly points the fingers back at Monroe Institute. Here is a summary of this interaction:
- Research would have been carried out by the team at TMI (Skip and Shirley Blilely who is deceased)
- They believe Hemi-Sync was not part of the Gate Program, especially not the GATEWAY Experience.
- They do not have any mention of GATE programs in their research records.
- They know from experience it would be hard to get the Hemi-Sync concentration tapes into schools and believe school systems as a whole would never approve.
When asked further, the contact there indicated this: _“The Gateway Experience is not something we recommend for children.”_
Looking further, I scoured the TMI newsletters and found a write-in testimonial from a Jeanne Kaye from Darien, CT on the use of Hemi-Sync tapes in her art classroom. Note: she describes using Metamusic in her classroom after experiencing an Excursion retreat. I must be clear she does not describe using the Gateway Experience.
So, we have this information now. Loose ties to local school districts, but elsewhere. No smoking gun in the hands of a spook or government agency noting working within schools or through Robert Monroe to children. No documented direct relationships to GATE programs anywhere. Yet, so many people are posting on social media that they were using the Gateway Tapes from Robert Monroe in their GATE programs.
Before we move on, I do have to commend the Monroe staff member as they did endeavor to inquire with the old guard (they let me know they were asking the elder Monroe Family members), but they indicated the Monroe family was not able to ‘add much’ to the query I had. Interesting, to be sure.
Yet, the plot thickens…
Monroe’s respondent also recommended I check with the local district and their records, or individual teachers. Well, if you recall, I did that. There are no records at the district level. Not the ones I specified. And most of the teachers I knew of are either dead or gone. I wanted to see if there were any purchase records for this type of technology and reached out to the Department of Public Instruction in the state of Wisconsin. Reply was there are no records responsive to my request. Again, records retention schedule had lapsed.
Later, I became aware of another route to take. If there were additional educational opportunities, it might have been run by and funded through grants available with an organization known as CESA. CESA stands for Cooperative Educational Service Agency. Our district was with CESA 5 at the time. They handled things like Driver’s Ed, Special Ed, and other education programs for youth with disabilities. But, they also claim to have handled GATE programs as well.
I contacted them with an Open Records request. I turned up a goose-egg on the first request, which was well beyond their record retention schedule. It was looking for grant acceptances and purchase orders or contracts related to Hemi-sync, GATE, and Monroe Institute or their consultants.
Next, I asked for Board of Control minutes from 1990 to 1995. I was surprised and thankful to receive several PDF files with about 1000 pages.
I combed through it several times. There are some notable finds. One is a line item in the project funding inventory in October 1995 noted as ‘Air Force Grant’. Except, there are no details, no narrative, and no votes on any projects written into the minutes. That, and there was a guest speaker noted as praising the good that their GATE programs were doing.
However, that phrase, word, or name is noticeably **absent**from all their pages of minutes for years and never once noted directly in project funding.
I then asked these specific for these clarifications / records:
- **The Air Force Funding Line:** Any underlying service contracts, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), or project charters governing the direct funds received from the U.S. Air Force during these fiscal cycles.
- **The Eisenhower Grant Allocations:** The local regional applications, project descriptions, and hardware/vendor procurement records funded under the Dwight D. Eisenhower Mathematics and Science Education Act lines.
- **The Baraboo School District Allotments:** The line-item expenditure summaries or year-end reports detailing the specific programs and services funded by Baraboo’s direct programmatic allocations during this timeframe.
- **The Audiology / Audiology Services Splits:** The underlying business office contracts, independent contractor agreements, or service-provider logs detailing what these specific, high-volume line items funded.
- **The Portage Project International Exchanges:** Any underlying federal grants, state department protocols, or cooperative agreements governing the international educational exchanges and summits hosted with foreign delegations (including Russia and China) during this timeframe.
Their final reply was that they no longer have those records.
A few dead-ends, but not all is lost.
I am in the process of writing another FOIA request to see what sort of agreement the Air Force had with CESA to have a grant AND I plan on asking for school board minutes from for Baraboo from that period.
One more piece to add to this puzzle…
My mother was a special education teacher in a city over from mine during this time. We lived in Baraboo, where I went to school, and she drove to Portage, 30 minutes away, to teach. I asked her what her memories of CESA 5 were of that time. If she recalled GATE, Monroe Institute, Portage Project, etc.
What she shared stunned me. Two main things:
As an educator, she attended many conferences as part of professional development. She distinctly recalled seeing ‘them’ at these conferences but avoided them as they were part of what she referred to as the ‘new age’ of quick-fix solutions to teaching. She knew of them (MIAS), but never interacted with them. If her memory is true, which I believe it is, that means the Monroe Institute DID have satellite consultants (if not the core group) going out to these places where public schools staff and educators congregated in the vain of professional development.
The other piece is that she remembered seeing trailers parked outside of schools in Portage. This is a big aspect of what the GATE and TAG people are remembering all over social media. She had thought it was for Driver’s Ed, which makes sense because I was doing Driver’s Ed in a cargo trailer outside my high school years later. She then realized it was at the Junior High or what would be now Middle School. No way that was for Driver’s Ed. They had indicated to her that it was due to a lack of classroom space. Who taught in those trailers, or what was being taught, I do not know, as she did not seem to know either. Only that they were there.
So here we have an educator on the ground during this period in the trenches reporting seeing the booth the Monroe Institute at education conferences AND the trailers people report being taken to for GATE classes.
One more addition is that it was noted in aresearch paper from Meinke and Dice in 2008 on childhood hearing loss that there was NO federally mandated nor nationally standardized hearing tests in the United States! What?
If that is the case, why do so many of us recall those tests? Did ever State agree to run these locally, just off the books? I know the business office in Baraboo recalled these tests just fine and was very open about how they operated. Our call indicated they were given, but that parents would only be contacted if there were issues, and that the administrators usually were parent volunteers.
So, where does that leave us? I think it is still just a bit too early to tell. I will keep pushing until all avenues are explored. Furthermore, I actually learned more about Monroe and his organization plus the interest in PSI stuff within the government than I have about GATE.
There is an alarming lack of GATE documentation ANYWHERE from that era.
Here? There? Everywhere? Where are they? Where have they been? Where will they be? When did they be? Tongue in cheek, I know. How do they get here and back? How can they vanish suddenly and then reappear? Does the same apply to other paranormal topics and subjects like ‘Bigfoot’? Are they using the same force, protocol, or technology? Perhaps they exist in a similar vibrational state?
I’m reminded of ‘Oh the Places You Will Go’ book by Dr. Seuss at this point.
In my attempts to understand my own strange experiences, I researched, read, and watched lots of things on the topic. I have read numerous books with hypnosis transcripts of folks taken by and in contact with otherworldly beings. There is a large body of text that comes with those and the beings talk about where they come from very little. When they do, it is usually vague and references ‘out there’ or other worlds, planets, and, sometimes, space stations, or orbiting craft. I may have come across the concept of the beings claiming to be ‘interdimensional’ once or twice, if that.
What is alarming is that the biggest case I am referring to comes from lawmakers in congress claiming they were told these beings are ‘interdimensional’. Have these lawmakers read ANY of the accounts from direct contactees? Or are they relying only on the she-said, he-said of whistleblowers? While that is what I have seen on the aspects of congress, it is a known concept and theory within ufology.
What can you define as ‘interdimensionality’? Where they live? Where they come from? How they travel? Their ‘vibrational’ state? Their consciousness? The established ‘interdimensional’ theory says they are not aliens from another world in our universe, rather, they come from parallel, alternate realities and sometimes cross over to our own. Yes, just like Krang in his Technodrome emerging through a tear in the fabric of reality from Dimension X.
The issue with this is it cannot account for the many recorded cases of contact where people are clearly told the beings come from a real, natural, physical place, just very from our own or at least somewhere else in our Universe. This theory precludes the existence of other forms of life in our own Universe.
Let me play Devil’s Advocate, for a moment. If a person can remain physically in one place and mentally visit another, how can that be achieved, other than through a dimensional shift of their own being? Another state of matter and energy has to be accessed in order do this, correct? It would be the only way for a human’s mind to be instantly somewhere else. By folding space and time in energetic form while remaining tethered to the physical body. When we dream, do we not go to vast, expansive, often strange places, frequently in different periods of time? Have we not accidentally predicted the future at times via precognitive dreams? Have people not been able to reach far away planets through the method of Astral Travel? If we are unconscious in our physical body, yet we are living out real, whole lives in our inner mind or as energetic, ethereal things in other places, witnessing our own bodies as we float wherever we please, are we not also ‘interdimensional’?
If anyone owns cats and dogs, you know when they are having vivid dreams. In other spaces and time, they are chasing something, running, barking, etc. So, they have crossed time and space, right? Their bodies remain, but their minds are somewhere else. Or is consciousness not a dimension? If it is, then, aren’t all animals also ‘interdimensional’? Or is it just an illusion?
Then, I think of this line of questioning: are they referring to their means of travel? Do they produce quantum wormholes and travel long distances in short times that way? They could call this an ‘interdimensional’ mode of transport. The beings themselves are not; they remain corporeal.
Let’s pick at the concept of visibility. The proponents often cite UFO’s vanishing as proof. The same is now said of ‘Bigfoot’. We know from experiencer accounts that the beings have the ability to influence what people see, alter memories, and block whole body experiences. What is to say that is not what is occurring when people can’t see one of the objects disappear? If it is also recorded, couldn’t it not be a failing of the equipment? We have technology that hides our modern warplanes from radar. That does not mean they went into another dimension. They simply remained hidden from the function of the technology made to observe a single aspect of reality. We also have the technology of bending light to make things less optically visible. But they would be observable on radar or even motion detectors and sonar. The object is still in this reality, just hidden from the naked eye. In order for something to be considered ‘interdimensional’, I would think it would have to be invisible to radar, thermal, IR, visible, and full-spectrum tools sensors. More like the reports of what we call ghosts. In many of these cases, the objects or beings are only ‘vanishing’ from a single or a couple modes of sensing in the moment of capture on video.
It is rarely the case where the observer can distinctly declare the object is gone from all modes of detection. I do see where one mode will pick it up, but not another. Not really a dimensional shift, if you ask me. Merely a masking of itself in one mode of observation.
Here is another inquiry: are we talking about their ability to do things being in their organic make-up, or technology being employed? If organic, the beings ARE ‘interdimensional’, but, if they are using advanced tech to travel across dimensions, they BECOME ‘interdimensional’? There is a difference.
I feel that the claims being made are often amplified and spread like wildfire for social media gains. I would be at rest if there was a satisfying explanation and definition of the use of that word in these cases. If congress could give better context to that statement, I think it would help a lot.
There is a book out now about Bigfoot that speaks on this topic, but I have not read it. I plan to give it a go next. If it presents really compelling arguments, I will be forced to reevaluate my thinking. Like a normal, reasonable human should. Until then, I will hold my position here.
Honestly, while intriguing to debate, I think, ultimately, this aspect of the phenomenon is a moot point, to boot.
The real issue - in my view - outsiders should be concerned with is the “who”, the “what”, and the “why” of the phenomenon. Not necessarily the “how”. I do understand the interest in that aspect from a military-industrial, national security, technology standpoint.
Now, if we have beings walking up to many of us, and being like, “Psst, come here, we have a secret”. Hold their hands to our ears, and whisper, “We ARE interdimensional, bro”, I think we’d be having a different conversation.
I’ll get off my soap-box with this request: if you are having a discussion with anyone and this claim is made, simply ask them what they mean by it and document it. Write it down and share it. We just need more data out there in the world on this topic in order to see how we are defining it and the evidence and data to support it.
My concern is we are rubber-stamping anomalous events with ‘interdimensional’ when we lack any other explanation, without trying to come up with a likely, natural or man-made explanation.
When I did my work in MUFON, if we didn’t have enough data to make a single determination on the source of the anomalous video, photo, or experience, we HAD to categorize it as INSUFFICIENT DATA. I suggest we do the same here.
Couple of days ago, I was working late at night with my sliding glass door open to our backyard. It butts up to the backyard of other houses and in between is a length of power lines running the length of our city block. It was dead quiet, save for crickets. As I was typing, watching an episode of Spider Noir, I hear the sounds of shrieking off in the distance. High-pitched and stressed. I could tell it was somewhere a few houses down. I got chills and realized it was a sound like an animal in trouble. This was a sound I have never heard on our street in all the years I have lived here. I wrote a note on it and shared the sound I managed to record once. Prior to that, it was multiple at once. Check it out here:
Several days prior to that, I was out at night, taking something to the trash, and I was just sort of checking out the night sky, when I fixated on a portion of sky. I saw some flashes of light. But they did not have a color or pattern to them that made me think they were airplanes. We live under the approach for landing at Madison Truax Airport, so I know what that looks like. No, these were small dots of light way in the distance, about the size of a needle head, and randomly flashing. About 4 or 5 times then they stopped. Color was about yellow or green or dull white. They were about 250 degrees or so, West / Southwest, about 45 degrees up on the horizon. Crazy part was I later saw someone post on social media in Nebraska, I think, they had just seen those same flashes in the sky. I think it was about 9:30 central time.
