Remap: Ride Roads Worth Taking
When you come back from a great bike ride, you don't remember the whole route. You remember the sections of road
- that made you _sweat_,
- that made you feel _joy_,
- that made you feel like you were _flying_.
Remap identifies those sections of the road network in your local area, those **lines**.
Remap then runs a series of advanced algorithms to shape a route that explores the widest possible area in a loop so you don't encounter the same road twice. It hits as many of those lines as it can whilst achieving your requested target distance or time.
You know that feeling when a rider appears up ahead and you start pushing to catch up? Remap brings that to every solo ride.
Now there's a new element that keeps you connected to others, even when you ride solo. Riding over a line lets you claim it. To strengthen those lines, you just keep riding.

Ride somewhere you've never been without a second thought. Remap keeps you off the roads that are too fast or too rough, and reads the surface, the climb and the junctions the way a cyclist would. It understands **how the road feels**.
Does it work where I live?Yes! Every road on Earth is scouted, so Remap can build a loop wherever you are.
What do I need?Your bike and a way to follow routes. You can use our iPhone app with best-in-class navigation, or you can export routes from the web site or app to a GPX file which can be imported into any bike computer.
What sensors does the iPhone app support?You are able to pair a speed sensor, cadence sensor, heart-rate sensor, power meter and bike radar over Bluetooth. The ride records fine without any of them as well.
Can I ignore the game aspect?First and foremost, Remap is a fresh take on discovering and exploring routes around you. You do not need to participate in the game to use the app. The game rules are an optional layer that don't require active participation until you choose to.
Do I have to follow the exact ride?No. Remap credits the roads you actually rode, whichever ones they are.
How do I own a line?Ride it and if its unclaimed, it's yours to hold. If it belongs to someone, after your ride you'll be offered the chance to take it if you've earned enough in-game Watts.
How do I prevent others from taking my lines?The lines you own get stronger the more you ride. Your lines stay yours until someone rides over them and has enough Watts to claim them.
What is a Watt?You earn Watts by riding, and spend them to take lines. The more you ride, the more Watts you have to protect your lines and to take others.
Do you support bike computers?You can easily export GPX files from the web site or from the iOS app. We are working on direct connections to Garmin, Wahoo and other devices.
