Task Room — tasks are not rows in a table
Every task app is a table with better fonts. This one is built the way you actually hold work in your head.
01
Tasks are in physical space
Not a row you scroll past — a box you walk up to. **Big job, big box.** What's near the desk is what's next; the pile in the corner is visibly a pile. You already remember where things are. This uses that.
02
You have feelings about your tasks
A table pretends every row is equal. You know better — some of these you'd do right now, and one of them makes your stomach drop. **Here they can look different, weigh different, and sit where they belong** instead of hiding behind identical checkboxes.
03
Fears are what actually stop you
_They'll say no. It'll be mediocre. It's too late._ That's the real blocker, and no list has a field for it. **Name the fear and pin it to the box it's blocking** — you can see what's in the way. Ship the box and the river takes the fear.
04
You need to be inspired, not nagged
Nobody was ever moved by a red badge. **Hang signs and pictures on the wall** — the line that got you started, the thing you're building toward, the face you're doing it for. They're in the room while you work, because that's when you need them.
05
Books remind you what you already know
You've read the thing that answers this. You just don't have it at hand. **A shelf in the room holds what you're reading, distilled to the few lines that push you** — sitting next to the boxes they're supposed to change.
