Email API Now Generally Available
The Telnyx Email API is now generally available and email is now a production-grade channel on the Telnyx platform. Any Telnyx customer can start sending email immediately.
Transactional and marketing email, on the same carrier-owned platform you already use for SMS, voice, and WhatsApp. One API key, one dashboard, one bill.
What's new since beta
- **General availability:** No waitlist or invite required. Any Telnyx customer can start sending from the portal or API immediately. New customers can sign up and send in minutes.
- **Shared sending domain:** Use a Telnyx-provided shared domain for self-serve setup, or bring your own domain with full DNS verification.
- **Pay-as-you-go pricing:** Volume-based pricing starting at $0.30 per 1,000 emails, scaling down to $0.15 per 1,000 at higher volumes. No subscriptions, no minimums. See pricing.
- **Inbound email:** Create inboxes on verified domains, receive inbound messages via `email.received` webhooks, and build reply and thread workflows.
- **Email validation:** Free single and batch email validation to catch invalid addresses before you send.
- **Suppression management:** Two-tier suppression check at API and inject time, CSV import/export with auto-detection of SendGrid, Mailgun, and SES formats, and RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe for Gmail/Yahoo bulk sender compliance.
- **Signed webhooks:** Every webhook request is signed with an Ed25519 signature for asymmetric verification.
