Show HN: Places - Google Docs for maps with auto-import from articles and videos

When I go on travels with friends I like to look up articles and videos with recommendations and put together a doc with all the places we want to go. While the doc is nice, it sucks to have to manually look them up on a map to figure out what is close to each other to see how to group them together for each day. When I used Google My Maps I found that it sucks for real-time collaboration. Other platforms were either too slow or didn't support proper real-time collab.
So I worked with/told Claude Code to make me a website that has a) a map with real-time sync between multiple users, b) parses articles/text and watches videos for me to add multiple places at once, and c) adds a small customizable note and picture to remember what place is what. I think it turned out quite well and after some more tinkering and adding some more features I decided to put it up online!
There is a view-only demo map but sign up is required to create a map and import because all the tokens to parse the imports cost a bit of money. Feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think!
